"Bringing the World Back Home"
Orange County Peace Corps Association

This page was last updated on: July 15, 2018
In the late 1980s, a small group of 4 RPCVs (Returned Peace Corps Volunteers) came together to form the Orange County Returned Peace Corps Volunteers.  This small group carried the vision of forming a volunteer group to carry out the third goal of the Peace Corps.  That goal was to gather the various "worlds" that our overseas experiences had given us and to share those "worlds" in the communities in which we reside.

Today, we are known as the OCPCA (Orange County Peace Corps Association) and we meet regularly to plan activities ranging from social gatherings to community volunteer work.  We are active members in the western region of the National Peace Corps Association based in Washington, DC, having planned and hosted several regional meetings.

Organizations succeed on the basis of their core active members.  We have an active membershjip of over 80 returned volunteers.  The local potential membership of over 500 returned volunteers has a window to our activities throughour Marmalade newsletter, activity card mailings, and the use of our new website.

We hope that you are interestsed in what we do.  Our regular meetings are open to anyone interested in being part of the Peace Corps experiece and in sharing their experience throughout Orange County and beyond.  Please feel welcome to join us at any of the events listed on the "Calendar" page or e-mail any of the board members listed on the "Contact Us" web page.

Thank you for visiting our website and ... sala ka khotso (stay in peace).
