Event Details
OCPCA members are invited to a Peace Corps Week event on the evening of Tuesday, March 5th from 4:00-6:00 PM at CSULB in the University Student Union 205 (West Wing). In the hopes of inspiring students to think critically about how the skills a volunteer learns from Peace Corps service can directly translate into career readiness and career success, I would love to have you engage with CSULB students on these very important concepts. I would like to do a very short introduction of the Peace Corps volunteers in the room, and then I would like to break everyone into smaller groups to mingle with students and discuss how the skills they learned in service translate to their current positions. If each person could identify a few key skills and have a few stories ready beforehand, that would be terrific!
Please RSVP if you will attend by no later than this Friday, February 22nd, and please include whether you will need parking validation!
Thank you so much for your support and collaboration, and I hope you will be able to join us!
Best,
